Southwest Native American Gaspeite Jewelry Collection at Four Corners USA OnLine. Gaspeite is a brilliant green with ranges of contrasting green to brown matrix. Some specimens can host white along with the brown. Gaspeite was first discovered in Canada, however that deposit was not considered desirable for jewelry making. During the late 1980's a large boulder was found in Australia which did meet the standards for gem quality. To our knowledge at this time, the Australian deposit remains the only source for jewelry making.
