Carico Lake Turquoise and Spiny Oyster Shell Sterling Silver Post Earrings by Navajo Silversmith Art Platero Native American Indian Jewelry. Wonderful blue green color with a touch of white veining through these 14mm by 11mm angle cut rectangles of Carico Lake Turquoise accented by a 5mm bright Orange Spiny Oyster cabochon. Earrings measure approximately 7/8 inch overall length by 1/2 inch at widest point with the post in center of top.

Native American Navajo Silversmith Art Platero. Post style pierced earrings.

Carico Lake turquoise is named for its home on a dried-up lake bed in high, cool Lander County, Nevada. The clear, iridescent, spring green color is due to its high zinc content, and it is very unique. Carico Lake stones can also own dark blue-green color with a black spider web matrix. The colors and scarcity of Carico Lake make it a valuable addition to any collection.
