Thanksgiving is likely my favorite Holiday of the year. Although my 'tradition' for this Holiday has certainly evolved over the years (now we seem to just LOVE the 'downtime' and smells of everything cooking...lol), I am always reminded of my childhood. My parents were the youngest of double digit sibling families, and for the Aunts and Uncles who lived within traveling proximity holidays were shared! Thanksgiving Dinner was hosted at our home with anywhere from 18 to 25 people for sit-down dinner alone not to mention those who would stop by to share in desserts or leftovers later in the day!

It was just glorious as the day really started the evening before with some preparation. The morning began early as dinner typically started around 1pm and was filled with the aromas of cooking. TV was playing in the background while tables were being set and the line up consisted of March of the Wooden Soldiers, Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and The Wizard of Oz in the evening!

For me, it just could not get any better....funny I don't remember anything about going Shopping!
