Heartline Bear 12K Gold Filled (not plated) and Sterling Silver Money Clip Native American Jewelry by Navajo Artisan Roger Jones. Beautiful full front plate of Sterling Silver etched and stamped with symbols. 12K Gold Filled cut out Bear lays on top of the Sterling for a wonderful three dimensional appearance on a durable nickel base money clip which measures 1 3/4 inch overall length by 1 inch wide. Navajo Silversmith Hallmark RJ - Roger Jones.

Aside from the obvious Heartline Bear with Lightning Snake cutout, this piece is just filled with meaningful symbols of a Fence (guarding Good Luck) and Thunderbird Tracks (willing Bright Prospects). To the Navajo the Bear is a Protector and also considered symbols of Physical Strength and Leadership. Bears are an important part in Native American Indian culture as various symbols of strength, hard work, and even great love. Many tribes considered the "Great Spirit" to often take on the form of a bear. It would lead hunters on great chases and could die only to be reborn in the spring. Bears were mythical and "magical" creatures that existed.
